This is a 2 part message I just recieved today:
Hi everyone,

My name is Caroline and I'm a staff member of FedConUSA - a new sci-
fi and fantasy convention that will be held at the Dallas DFW Hyatt
Regency from June 13 - 15th. Actually, FedCon is not entirely new,
it has been Europe's largest convention for more than 15 years, and
is coming to America for the first time.

I'd like to let you know that J.G. Hertzler (best known for playing
Martok) and Robert O'Reilly (Gowron) have just been added to our
line-up of celebrity guests.

What's especially unique about having them at our event is that they
will be performing a show on stage dressed in full Klingon outfit
and makeup. This will be the FIRST time they have ever done a stage
appearance in full Klingon makeup and clothing anywhere in the
United States.

They will also be doing Photo Ops with fans, dressed in full Klingon
attire.

About FedConUSA

FedConUSA, a brand new sci-fi and media convention, comes to the Hyatt Regency DFW, in Dallas, Texas from June 13th to June 15th 2008. Attendees can expect a large array of guests spanning the entire science fiction genre, ranging from on-screen actors, to those behind the scenes. FedConUSA aims to provide an atmosphere where guests and attendees feel free to enjoy the convention together.

FedConUSA aims to bring attendees a convention experience like no other in the USA. Fans will be able to get up close and personal with all the stars like never before, due to our unique programming agenda which combines the traditional with a brand new style and flare unseen in the USA. FedConUSA also aims to provide everything attendees expect from a convention, including guest panels, workshops, autograph sessions, photo ops, contests, costumed stage productions, parties, and lots more.


FedConUSA offers, among other things:

CELEBRITIES: FedConUSA provides the best group of actors, writers, and production people from many areas of sci-fi and fantasy. During the convention, you will get the chance to interact with FedConUSA's guests, whether to ask a question or just say hello.

AUTOGRAPH SESSIONS: For many fans, the autograph session is the most important reason for attending a convention. What better way to get up close and personal with your favorite star? FedConUSA aims to make this essential component of the convention as stress free as possible. With this in mind, FedConUSA provides autographs with its Gold Ticket Package. Additional autographs can be purchased during the convention.

DEALER'S ROOM: With its wide assortment of fan-oriented products from around the world, FedConUSA's dealer area has provided many sought after and newly discovered items to its attendees. From book's to DVD's, and uniforms to tradings, the FedConUSA dealers room has it all.

MODEL and ART ROOM: Works of art from all avenues of fandom are on display here; including ship construction, costume creations, paintings, set recreations and other works. You may submit your own work for viewing, and enter our competition with a chance to win prizes.

WORKSHOPS: Workshops are instructional activities that anyone can participate in, including script writing, model building and costume design. One of our special guests may even drop in from time to time.

SEMINARS: FedConUSA provides the opportunity for you to converse with like minded individuals in discussions organised by fans for fans. Topics range from the serious to the outright ridiculous. If you have an interesting subject to discuss, let us know, and we'll set you up with your own panel.

GAMES: A variety of fun games, quizzes and treasure hunts are created by the fans and presented at FedConUSA to entertain the masses. Do you have what it takes to come out on top?

COSTUMED EVENTS and STAGE PRODUCTIONS: One of the things FedConUSA is known for is its quality and quantity of stage events. Incredible stunts, musical numbers and pyrotechnics have amazed thousands of fans for years. We look forward to each year with new and innovative feats of wonder on our stages.

PARTIES and CONCERTS: No one leaves FedConUSA without first staying up till the wee hours of the morning dancing the night away and still make it to an early morning panel discussion. It's an amazing thing to see 2000 fans partying to the sounds of live and DJ-oriented music. Many celebrities have made it a point to mingle amongst the fans at the parties and can be found frequently in the hotel bars and lounges.

FRIENDSHIPS: One of the most rewarding aspects of FedConUSA, which you will quickly discover, are the friendships you will develop. FedConUSA provides the ultimate environment for you to meet old friends and make new ones. The friendships you build will ultimately be what keeps you coming back every year.
